Project Overview
This was a fast-track renovation project that completely transformed a tired turn of the century shingle-style house with an awkward 1920s addition. Nine months of restoration and renovation work resulted in a lovely home with nicely flowing interior spaces and beautifully finished details. Then a new three bay shingle style carriage house was built with a studio above. Select period details and finishes were used to complement the house.
Hear from the Owner
“Our renovation went very smoothly, and GF Rhode was great in working with us as the project evolved. The project supervisor brought a real “can do” attitude that made a big difference in this complicated job. The workers were there every day from the start, and the trades showed up when they were supposed to. The high quality of their work combined with their professionalism and sensitivity to our concerns made this a big success.”
Hear from the Builder
“Our approach to this renovation was to phase the work “top down” because the owners needed to move in before school started, and we got it done. Site meetings were energized problem solving sessions with a great team and passionately involved clients. We appreciated how great it was to work with our clients even though it was difficult to live in the house during the renovation. And the house turned out truly magnificently.”
